change, upstream and downstream cooperation, and the equitable sharing of
shared water resources in ensuring regional stability and sustainable
development.
The event brought together
policymakers, diplomats, academicians, researchers, government officials, water
resource experts, and eminent scholars, who exchanged views on the challenges
and opportunities associated with water governance in South Asia. Participants

diplomacy to address shared water-related challenges and safeguard Bangladesh’s
long-term national interests.
The discussion concluded by
underscoring the importance of collaborative approaches to transboundary water
