Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) organised a seminar on “Harnessing the Youth Dividend: Strategic Imperatives for Bangladesh in a Changing World” on Thursday, 14 August 2025, in collaboration with the Department of International Relations (IR), University of Dhaka. H E Shiuneen Rasheed, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Bangladesh, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Md Mahbub-Ul-Alam, Secretary, Ministry of Youth was the Special Guest and Professor Dr Sayema Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Dhaka was the Eminent Guest of the event. The seminar was divided into four sessions. The Inaugural Session was chaired by Professor Dr Rasheduzzaman, Professor, Department of IR, University of Dhaka. Thereafter, three consecutive sessions were chaired respectively by Professor Dr Niloy Ranjan Biswas, Professor, Department of IR, University of Dhaka; Professor Dr Tofail Ahmed, Chairman, Local Government Reform Commission, and Major General (Retd) Md Emdad ul Bari, OSP, NDC, psc, te, Chairman, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
