Strengthening Bangladesh-Maldives Bilateral Cooperation
The Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies organised a Country Lecture Series (CLS) event titled “From Malé to Dhaka: Strengthening Bangladesh-Maldives Bilateral Cooperation” on Thursday, 10 April 2025, at the BIISS Auditorium. The event was arranged to promote greater understanding and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Maldives in areas of mutual interest.
The programme brought together diplomats, academics, policymakers, researchers, military officials, and distinguished guests from different sectors. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, tourism, connectivity, education, climate change, blue economy, and people-to-people engagement. Speakers highlighted the importance of closer regional collaboration and emphasized the growing opportunities for partnership between the two friendly countries.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion session, where participants exchanged views on the future direction of Bangladesh-Maldives relations and explored potential avenues for enhanced bilateral engagement.....
