BANGLADESH INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL AND STRATEGIC STUDIES

Under Guest Speakers Programme of BIISS Dr. Tasneem Siddiqui, Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka delivered a lecture on Migrant Workers Remittances to Bangladesh: Implications of Global Recession at BIISS Auditorium on 23 April 2009 at 1030 hours. The presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session. Beside the BIISS Faculty Members, it was also participated by invited guests, including experts and practitioners on the related field. Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, Executive Chairman, Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC), and Former Adviser to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam, ndc, psc, Director General BIISS chaired the whole session.
